happy hump day!

I thought it was time to renew my interest in staying healthy. This morning I got up and did 75 sit ups/crunches. I did 25 regular and 25 to each side. I have a feeling that I'll have a lot more "feeling" tomorrow. I also did a whopping 10 pushups. Ooooh! Maybe tonight I'll go over to the workout room and actually use it. I keep trying to go in the morning, but my bed just won't let me out. Rude! I haven't been able to ride my bike to work since it's been so bloody hot! I'll take all the encouragement anyone can muster.

We saw a really strange looking grasshopper/locusty thing outside work yesterday, and it's still there today. Turns out it is an Eastern Lubber grasshopper. I call it uber icky. It is really big, but (thank goodness) it doesn't have wings. I have a feeling the Hbomb would have an absolute conniption if she were here to see it. =)



Other than that, not too much is going on here. I've decided that the summer in Texas is much more bearable than that in southeastern Louisiana. Oh, the humidity! Also, being right on top of Lake Pontchartrain seems to make the rain keep away from me. It rains all around the lake and up north of here, but I'm lucky to get anything. Weird huh? Later gators!
