TGIT?

Happy Thursday, peeps! It's been a fun and eventful morning. We couldn't get one of the chemistries calibrated or QCed (just like yesterday except a different one). Arrgh! Sometimes this instrument makes me nutty. And I just missed the mailman again. Golly, it's not my day. That's okay--it's beautiful enough here to make up for anything. I'm telling you, I'm totally falling in love with southeastern Louisiana and the small town life. Who knew I could be so boring? Now if only the trees would quit making me sneeze and drip it'd be perfect. I can't wait to have my bike here with me.

In other news, I am now a part of a singing ensemble in NOLA. It has all its rehearsals at Loyola, so I feel very special. The group is REALLY good. Our first rehearsal was last Sunday, and these people can sight read like nobody's business. I love it!

Well, that's enough for now. Someone just brought me some work. I mean, I am at work so I guess I should do it, right?

It's finally Friday, folks. This has been an incredibly loooong week. Not only has work been busy (until today), I had to work 2 days alone in the lab AND the bf is here. I've worked hard all day and tried to entertain at night. Monday night was The King's Speech up the highway. Yes, I can see why Firth got the best actor Oscar for that one. I must admit I thought the corgis acted rather well, too. Tuesday night we wandered around Pontchartrain and found a pubby place for dinner. We went down to NOLA Wednesday night for dinner and wandering. It was amazingly fun! We ate at a Mediterranean place called Byblos (yum), and wandered up and down Magazine street. Sadly I had to ditch him last night due to choir rehearsal. We did get to watch the end of the Stars game and Chopped though! I'm really glad my lab mate is finally back in the lab (as of noon today) so I don't have to do everything alone. Of course today, we haven't done much of anything at all--super slow today. I guess too many people are taking advantage of the FANTASTIC weather here. Now I can't wait to go home and take a nap (silly pain in the knees is making me tired). Then I'm gonna take the bf out for his first po boy. I was gonna cook, but why do that? I have no problem with eating fried shrimp on a baguette of french bread slathered with tartar and cocktail sauces mixed with Tabasco and Crystal. Nom nom nom.
